Paris: Day 3

Musee d'Orsay - Site Seeing - More "Shopping"

On our 3rd day in Paris, the weather took a turn and went from uber hot to uber cold, so summer wardrobe turned winter. The first two days we did major site seeing and a little shopping but today..vice versa!

Shopping while on vacation is the best (and deadliest!). You are more likely to take out your pocket book and spend, spend, spend. (Atleast I tend to, anyway) Is that a bad habit? If so, naughty me! You won't be back anytime soon so better get 'em while you can esp. when there is a sale plus no tax - so spend away!

As much as I love to shop, I first would "browse" shop then make my purchases on the last two days of my trip. I have to figure out what I want most, can't do without, and whether it is worth it. This is the only way for me to spend wisely, otherwise, I just buy everything and have buyer's remorse later. Instant purchases only occur when it is something I have been wanting that happens to be on sale or it is the very last size - that always gets me to buy NOW. Do you ever wonder if it is the truth when the SA says, "it is our last pair"? When I hear "last" anything...there is no room for debates, it is instant purchase. Again, tsk on me.

Well, on this 3rd day, it was just browse shopping and I already have my eye on few things. It is so hard to resist since some places are having a pre-sale or even 'private' sale. I....must....resist!

amazing details! just freakin' amazing!

Look..my twin! j/k...that is all me! Panorama stitching is so cool (well, my ghetto version of it is just aite - cut and paste)! Thanks for the idea, Mimi!

The macaroons @ Pierre Herme were so good...we even bought extra to take home.

Day outfit that was hidden under the trench jacket:

Excuse the "I am super tired" look

top: urban; jacket: larsen gray; tights: aa; flats: lanvin

Skyping home for 2 cents per minute....isn't technology grand?

trench: burberry; scarf: yarnz

For dinner, Linh and I went to Guy Savoy. I had very high expecations for this restaurant due to the high rating and over-the-roof prices but I was very disappointed. The food was just...eh. I had better. On the other hand, the mini 5 course (yes...5!) dessert was fabulous. The service was supurb...we literally had 3 people serving us at the same time..overwhelming!

I wore:

dress: alaia; shoes: ysl tribs too

Polaroid Happy!

Posting these pics makes me miss Paris! I wanna go back!

Side note: I NEED a beach vacation! Suggestions?
